Base pay range

$120,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr

Our client is a retail company. They seek a Technical Accounting & Policy Manager to join their Manhattan, NY office.

Responsibilities

• Complete technical accounting research related to new and/or proposed transactions
• Assess changes to ASC, SEC regulations, and regulatory reporting requirements
• Evaluating the related purchase accounting and integration of acquired entities for M&A
• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure that accounting impacts are communicated
• Carry out requests from external auditors to drive the timely closure of technical accounting matters
• Assist in the month-end close processes as it pertains to complex/nonrecurring transactions
• Work closely with internal departments to address technical accounting issues
• Prepare technical accounting memos to document the company's positions on accounting matters
• Liaise with external valuation experts regarding recurring 409A valuations
• Draft and update accounting policies, ensuring company-wide compliance with policies

Requirements

• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Public or combo accounting background
• Private technical accounting experience
• Organized, analytical, and detail-oriented
• CPA required
