Job Summary

Reporting to the Director of Quality, the Staff Quality Engineer I, CI provides leadership and support for Continuous Improvement programs through Six Sigma, Lean, Validation, and project management best practices. The role involves defining strategies and implementing tactics to meet company and operational objectives, focusing on product safety, quality, and compliance with global regulations. Success is measured by the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of quality solutions, with a focus on cross-functional stakeholder engagement to produce industry-leading results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentor and coach teams on technical principles, theories, and quality systems.
  • Develop solutions for complex problems and collaborate with leaders to develop continuous improvement strategies.
  • Drive cross-functional CI projects to improve processes supporting business and quality objectives.
  • Establish and maintain metrics and dashboards to track CI progress and communicate results.
  • Benchmark and transfer best practices internally and externally, supporting deployment across sites.
  • Lead quality networks and business teams to align organizational goals with the company's mission.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and customer-impacting issues, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • Maintain knowledge of global regulations and contribute to strategic development.
Qualifications
  • BS degree in Science or Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in a technically oriented industry such as Medical Devices, Aerospace, Automotive, etc.
Work Environment

BD emphasizes on-site collaboration, requiring a minimum of 4 days in-office per week, with flexibility depending on role specifics. Employment may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination, subject to accommodations.
