THE ROLE

As a Window and Door Field Service Technician at JELD-WEN, you will be a key member of the Site Service & Warranty team. You will be responsible for performing service work on various products and accurately inspecting JELD-WEN window and door products to identify the root cause of service issues. You will report directly to the Field Services Manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform service work on various products and accurately inspect JELD-WEN window and door products to find the root cause of service issues.
• Complete daily assigned warranty field service tasks, take quality photos, and report accurate and complete product and construction issues.
• Maintain tools and service vehicles in proper and safe working order.
• Operate company service vehicles safely and considerately.
• Become familiar with all JELD-WEN products in your coverage region.
• Follow JELD-WEN policies and procedures while operating safely, professionally, and efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• Safety First! – Must have a strong safety awareness.
• Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Carpentry skills and ability to use hand and power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs., climb, lift, pull, and perform tasks on ladders, scaffolding, or other raised devices.
• Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, problem-solving skills, and team-oriented.
• Weekly travel with some overnight stays and overtime, along with flexible working hours.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or HSED.
• Experience in construction or similar environment preferred.
• Field service technician experience or similar industry experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of window and door installation and repair practices.
