Support service employees assist entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams through finance, accounting, IT, and other back-office operations.Job DescriptionWinsupply Sourcing Services (WSS) operates roughly 2 million square feet of wholesaling warehouse space, offering inventory and vendor management solutions to be the premier vendor partner for our customers.Our customer base consists of aspiring entrepreneurs who own and operate their own wholesale distribution businesses—now over 650 businesses nationwide. This job offers the opportunity to have a direct impact on the success of these small businesses, particularly those that rely on WSS to improve their inventory turnover. WSS transacts with vendors and customers nearly three-quarters of a million times in a given fiscal year.In this role, you will provide leadership for enterprise-wide distribution center operations, creating ongoing value-added services for Winsupply's wholesaling locations and their customers. The position is responsible for leading a team that develops and executes innovative strategic and tactical plans for distribution and drives value for all stakeholders. The desired outcome of these plans includes a customer experience that results in greater product depth and breadth with improved fulfillment, lowest total landed cost, and ease of use. Effective communication and collaboration skills with other stakeholders are essential to the role.Accountabilities/Responsibilities
  • Lead Strategic DC Operations: Provide high-level leadership and strategic direction for all DC operations, including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, and shipping. This includes defining and enforcing performance standards across all facilities to ensure alignment with our overall strategic goals for speed and ease of delivery.
  • Drive Financial Performance: Take ultimate financial oversight for DC operations. This includes developing and managing the annual financial expectations, monitoring key performance indicators, and collaborating with the WSS leadership team to achieve and maintain DC operating profitability.
  • Cultivate Vendor Partnerships: Act as the primary representative for WSS DC Operations in strategic discussions with both current and prospective vendor partners. You will work in conjunction with the Vendor Relations team to ensure the operational impact of new programs and partnerships is considered, and to help realize the true profitability of our vendor programs.
  • Develop and Mentor Leaders: Provide direct leadership and coaching to the Senior Director of Operations and other DC leaders. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement to build a high-performing team that can execute our vision effectively.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives focused on process optimization, cost reduction, and productivity gains. Identify and implement technology solutions and operational best practices to support our growth and improve efficiency across the entire distribution network.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety: In conjunction with the Senior Director, Operations, maintain a safe and compliant working environment by ensuring adherence to all safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Distribution, Logistics, Business Management or similar field.
  • General Manager experience with superior reviews preferred.
  • Prior experience in wholesale management and leadership required.
