Position Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Linux services focusing on AWS compute technologies such as EC2, EBS, LightSail, ElastiCache, Outposts, Systems Manager, and others.
- Develop expertise in one or more service areas and collaborate with internal teams to support AWS customers.
- Interact with customers via email, chat, or phone, and work on team projects to improve operational efficiency.
- Resolve customer issues through advanced troubleshooting, providing tailored solutions, and investigating root causes.
- Drive process improvements and enhance customer experience by leveraging support insights.
- Contribute feedback to AWS teams for service improvements and handle complex customer problems across multiple services.
- Continuously learn new technologies and develop professional skills.
- Act as an interviewer in hiring processes and mentor new team members.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Networking, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Six years of post-baccalaureate experience in systems administration, troubleshooting, networking, OS administration, and Linux security.
- Experience with Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat), Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (HTTP/s, TCP/IP, DNS), OS troubleshooting, and security permissions in Linux.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
Additional Information:
