Responsibilities

Purpose: Process and book travel requests for global travel, including a high volume of airline, hotel, and transportation transactions. Assist and problem-solve for corporate travelers. Manage reservations, extensions, travel changes, and ticket refunds. Proficiency with Sabre, superior customer service skills, and flexibility in work schedule are required. Work at our office in Charlottesville, VA.

Responsible for:

  • Telephoning hotels and motels to verify monthly cost allocations. Request customer folios (receipts) to match against invoices and employee names for accuracy.
  • Preparing and providing travel data for statistical reports across all company divisions and departments.
  • Performing daily data entry into department report systems, including statistical compilation.
  • Gathering information and following procedures for booking all travel using proprietary software.
  • Assisting in personal travel arrangements for MCD employees.
  • Compiling and reporting statistical data for all travel disciplines.
  • This position requires working on a rotating schedule.
  • Qualifications

    Education:

    • 6+ years of experience with a high school diploma
    • 0+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree

    Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for extended periods.
  • Sitting for long durations.
  • Reaching by extending hands or arms.
  • Finger dexterity for manipulating objects like a keyboard.
  • Listening to and understanding spoken information.
  • Communicating ideas clearly in speech.
