Summary

This position will be responsible for the leadership over the parts distribution, planning andmanagement transportation. The Manager will build, establish and drive the team to ensure thatGUS meets the transportation objectives.

Responsibilities

Initiate reviews and set strategy for internal and external business objectives

- Manager will initiate reviews, complete internal and external analyses, set and procurement strategyand be the point person for all strategy implementation and planning- This role will work cross functionally with various internal departments (internal and external teams) and externally with HQ,and local suppliers and Customers- Provide overall leadership, management, accountability and direction to all functional departmentsand team members in the Parts Operations & transportation towards the accomplishment ofcorporate goals and objectives

Engage in daily operations activities including problem resolution

- Engage in daily operations activities, provide regular daily, weekly and monthly reports measuringdepartment performance against objectives/plan- Perform analysis and prepare recommendations/countermeasures when performance does not meet objective or at the request of executive management and customers

Lead the teams in developing, analyzing, and forecasting processes

- Lead the teams in developing, analyzing and maintaining the strategic inventory, demand, sales and supplier metrics in support of strategic business objectives- Quantifiable demand calculation, forecasting methodologies, lead time, performance are all inputs to this process.- Lead weekly and/or monthly Forecasting process- Ensure that Department Operating Procedures, Processes and Manuals are relevant and up to date

- Heavy Industrial Equipment Logistics Planning and Execution Experience

Assist and support with all departmental related projects

Support and oversee reporting requests at the request of coordinators and executive management- Participate software development and/or system improvements as related to parts distribution- Maintain open dialogue with other department to coordinate activities and improve performance and productivity

Compensation

$110,000-$115,000 Per Year (Subject to Compensation Study Request Upon Candidate Selected)

Skills

  • Advance MS Excel, Power Point, Word and Database Management Required
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking ability Required
  • General Understanding ofSupply Chain Management and the Logistics Industry Required
  • Strong interpersonal skills, in order to engage with Vendors, Dealers, Headquarters, and Customers Required
  • Logistics and Transportation Experience Required

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree Required
  • 7-10 years of direct experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Automotive Transportation Required
  • 8-13 years of direct experience in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Automotive Transportation Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
  • Repetitive use of hand/grasping product, writing, and typing
  • Stand/walk
