NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY LIBRARY is accepting applications for the following position in the Access Services department:

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Department Head of Access Services, the Mgr, Operations assumes the administrative responsibilities for the operation of the department and its units. Specific duties include:

Assists or acts on behalf of the department head in supervising 6.5 FTE staff and oversee supervision of approximately 35 FTE student employees;

Oversee workflows and quality control measures;

Work cooperatively to address facilities and safety/security-related issues, which may require some evening/weekend hours;

Collaborate with internal and external entities to establish and develop programs, services, and consortial relationships beneficial to constituents, the library, and the university;

Assure compliance with established policies and procedures;

Develop and communicate goals and objectives for the department;

Participate in the library's management group, taking a broad library-wide perspective while representing the department's needs;

Serve on library and campus committees as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in a related field

Required Experience

Five (5) years of professional experience directly related to the standard duties as outlined. Equivalency: None
