Are you a hands-on accounting professional ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an Accounting Manager to lead and strengthen our day-to-day accounting operations while playing a key role in our financial reporting, internal controls, and company growth.You'll manage a small team (Accounting Clerk and Systems Analyst), own the monthly close process, and collaborate across departments to drive financial clarity and strategic insight. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to build scalable processes for a growing organization.Key Responsibilities:Month-End Close & Financial Reporting

  • Lead the monthly close to deliver timely, accurate financial statements
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and supporting schedules
  • Perform variance analysis and explain key financial performance drivers
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and internal accounting policies
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements and internal reporting packages
Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor two direct reports: an Accounting Clerk and Systems Analyst
  • Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture
  • Provide guidance and ensure accountability across accounting operations to drive accuracy, timeliness, and consistency
Process Improvement & Scalability
  • Design and implement scalable accounting processes and controls
  • Identify areas to streamline workflows and reduce manual tasks
  • Help create SOPs and process documentation for a maturing finance function
Audit & Compliance
  • Support financial reviews and external audits
  • Maintain proper documentation for key accounting processes and transactions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Operations, Sales, and Leadership teams to provide accurate financial data for business decisions
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, internal controls and monthly close best practices
  • Experience in a small to mid-sized company (25–50 employees preferred)
  • Proficiency with Excel and general ledger/reporting systems
  • ERP experience; Workwise ERP is a plus
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, hands-on environment
