We are currently searching for a motivated Pipeline or Facility Engineer to support our Southeast Region in Atlanta, GA.
What you'll be doing:
- Conduct pipeline MAOP studies
- Work independently to confirm the proper installation of gas pipelines
- Review documentation for MAOP, hydrostatic testing, and code compliance
- Mark up as-built drawings, alignment sheets, & P&IDs
- Apply prescribed techniques and procedures in accordance with established industry and client standards, specifications, and processes to perform assigned tasks
- Prepare engineering sketches and help develop construction drawings
- Leading a multi-disciplinary team
- Must be able to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules
- Knowledge of high-pressure natural gas pipeline construction and remediation
What you need to have:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited college/university required
- 7 + years related engineering experience in the oil & gas (natural gas, pipelines, energy) industry
- Valid Professional Engineering Licensure (P.E.) in Georgia with ability to gain additional license
- Valid Driver's license
- Field experience relating to pipeline installation (Desired)
- Oil & Gas construction experience (Desired)
- Working knowledge of CAD and GIS software (Desired)
- Proficiency with 49 CFR Part 192 and ASME B31.8
- Knowledge of pipeline fabrication and construction techniques
- Knowledge of hydrotesting of natural gas pipelines
- Knowledge of natural gas storage facilities and treatment processes
- Knowledge of natural gas pipeline regulatory codes and engineering standards
- Proficient use of MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Strong focus on safe work practices
- Demonstrates intermediate proficiency in technical subjects
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines.
- A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR).
