Position Overview The Warehouse Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that production has the right parts, at the right time, in the right quantities. This role involves accurately picking materials for work orders, preparing kits for assembly, and performing regular cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities Picking & Kitting: - Accurately pick components from inventory based on work orders and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Assemble kits for manufacturing, ensuring all required items are present, labeled, and in good condition.
- Deliver kits to the designated production areas on schedule.
Cycle Counting & Inventory Control: - Conduct scheduled and ad-hoc cycle counts to verify stock levels and identify discrepancies.
- Assist with root cause analysis for inventory variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Help maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled storage locations and items.
Warehouse Operations: - Assist in the receipt, inspection, and storage of incoming materials.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Follow all safety protocols and participate in safety initiatives.
Qualifications Required: - 1+ year of experience in warehouse, inventory, or material handling roles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and inventory reports.
- Basic computer skills (ERP/WMS experience preferred).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Follow Drug Free workplace policy.
- Required PPE: Tyvek suit, work gloves, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, respirator depending upon position.
- Shift Hours, Mon-Fri, 5:00AM-2:30PM or 6:00AM-3:30PM
Preferred: - Prior experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of fiberglass manufacturing or composite materials.
