Position Title: Plumbing Estimator
Location: Greater New York City Area (primarily onsite; hybrid possible for highly experienced candidates)
Compensation: $145,000â$165,000 base salary
Bonus: Annual performance-based bonus (typically $1Kâ$15K, depending on experience and company performance)

About the Role:
A well-established, family-run plumbing contractor serving the NYC, Long Island, and Westchester markets is growing rapidly and hiring two experienced Plumbing Estimators to join their high-performing team. Estimators each have their own private office and are part of a tight-knit department that is one of the most valued within the organization.
This position is primarily focused on digital bidding and takeoffs rather than site visits. Candidates must have hands-on experience estimating plumbing systems for commercial or institutional construction projects. The team is collaborative, fun, and passionate about delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed take-offs of plumbing systems (no unit pricing)
- Use Bluebeam and Trimble Estimation software to prepare estimates
- Analyze bid documents, drawings, contracts, and specifications
- Issue RFIs, request vendor quotes, and prepare competitive bids
- Participate in scope review meetings and project hand-offs
- Coordinate closely with project management and purchasing teams
Required Qualifications:
- At least 6 months of plumbing estimating experience (more is preferred)
- Proficiency in Bluebeam and general computer skills (Excel, Word, Adobe)
- Strong understanding of plumbing systems and components (including fittings, offsets, rough-ins)
- Ability to read and interpret extensive estimating documents
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in hospitals, labs, airports, universities, or healthcare facilities
- Familiarity with Trimble Estimation
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management
- Prior field installation or supervisory experience
