Responsibilities:
- Review and process legal documents related to pension applications, including divorce decrees, IRS levies, and subpoenas
- Communicate professionally with members, spouses, attorneys, and internal departments to gather and verify required documentation
- Ensure compliance with legal guidelines and internal procedures for all documentation
- Maintain accurate data entry and recordkeeping within internal systems
- Interpret legal content and apply policy accurately to case-specific situations
- Assist with case tracking and follow-ups to ensure timely resolution
- Support internal teams with administrative tasks as needed
- May require occasional overtime to meet deadlines
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree required
- 1–3 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or document-heavy administrative role
- Familiarity with legal documentation, particularly as it relates to divorce and/or retirement benefits
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex documents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-service oriented with a professional and empathetic demeanor
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data management systems
- Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and on-site assessment
- Ability to work on-site full-time during the temporary period (hybrid flexibility available after conversion)
