The incumbent, as an assistant in this field, you will have the opportunity to learn and develop your skills in maintaining and using a wide range of instruments such as dial indicators, micrometers, depth gauges, Vernier gages etc. used in various codes. Calibrating, and installing instruments to ensure they function accurately and efficiently. Working with tool inventory systems.

\nJob Description:
\nThe position is located in a heavy industrial setting at the Naval Foundry and Propeller Center in Philadelphia, PA. The Metals Inspector ensures that products manufactured in our facility conform to their applicable technical instructions through the performance of various non-destructive testing methods and techniques. The incumbent in this position is a highly skilled, certified NDT specialist in accordance with ASNT Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A and is required to obtain and maintain qualification and certification through periodic performance and written examinations by authorized NAVSEA representatives, in accordance with the requirements of NAVSEA T9074-AS-GIB-010-271.
