Under the general direction of a Licensed Team Member, performs a variety of clinical and clerical tasks in support of clinical care activities in a dental outpatient environment. - - ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - - Maintains inventory of equipment, instruments and supplies. Assists with replacements/repairs. Maximizes room utilization through inventory, stocking, cleaning of operatories, and daily preparation of dental units. Maintains cleanliness of waiting room. Anticipates and prepares equipment, material, and supply needs in consideration of patient/procedure complexity in support of timely and efficient clinic operations and provider schedules. Contacts patients to schedule/reschedule patient appointments. Maintains accurate demographic information in the scheduling system. Notifies of patient arrival and escorts patients through the clinic. Provides special assistance for non-ambulatory patients.
