The Lumper role within the Distribution Center ( DC ) at Ocean State Job Lot ( OSJL or Company ) is responsible for unloading merchandise on trailers manually and using powered pallet jacks in a manner that meets Company established standards in safety, quality, and productivity. The Lumper role will remove floor loaded cases from import containers and trailers and build pallets according to the proper TI/ HI, or place the cases directly on a conveyor for induction. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accurately complete and submit daily productivity sheets. Unload freight in priority order and in an efficient and safe manner including, but not limited to, verifying trailer numbers and dock doors before unloading. Manually remove cases from a container or trailer and organize according to direction. If building pallets, ensure TI/ HI and case counts are accurate and verified.
