Toyotas Supply Chain Strategy (SCS) Manufacturing Parts Operations (MPO) Packaging Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Packaging Engineer. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the design/development of packaging with Toyota Suppliers to ensure that parts arrive to the customer in a high state of quality. Must be able to clearly communicate Toyota standards and requirements for packaging to be designed to go through various supply chains and production process. Must be able to gain consensus with the working groups within the supply chain to ensure packaging adheres to strict safety and quality standards to ensure no disruption in the logistics supply chain. Must be able to work with design to implement part shape change to lower logistics costs. Reporting to the Packaging Manager, the person in this role will support the MPO packaging objectives to implement improvements to lower overall logistics cost.
