Permanent Pulmonary Critical Care Physician Davenport, IAHospital-Employed Full-Time Due to Retirement
Position Overview:A leading 500-bed hospital in Davenport, Iowa is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care Physician to join an established team of four full-time providers. This full-scope, hospital-employed position offers an exciting opportunity to practice across ICU, inpatient, outpatient, and procedural settings replacing a retiring physician in a well-supported environment.
Practice Details:Schedule: Monday Friday 1:4 call (every 4th night & weekend)ICU: Medical, surgical, trauma 20-bed ICU (Level III Trauma Center)EMR: CernerTeam Support: Advanced Practice Providers, NPs, & dedicated clinical staffTeaching: Required oversee APPs
Patient Volumes:ICU: Up to 20 patients/day (with NP support)
Inpatient (non-ICU): Up to 10/day
Admissions: Avg. 5/day
Total hospital beds: 500
Ventilation: ETT, trach, BiPAP/CPAPLines: Central, arterial, PA catheter, IABPProcedures:
Chest tube insertion
Bronchoscopy & BAL
EBUS
Thoracentesis & paracentesis
PFTs, cardiopulmonary & bronchoprovocation testing
Key Conditions Managed:Asthma, COPD, ILD, pneumonia, sarcoidosis, pulmonary fibrosis, pulmonary nodules, pulmonary vascular disease, volume/BP issues
Candidate Requirements:Board Certified/Eligible in Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine Fellowship in Pulmonary/Critical Care Medicine
