Industrial Electrician
As an Industrial Electrician, you will rely on your ability to multi-task as you work in a fast-paced environment to keep our company operational. Build your technical skills as you work closely with team members, handling orders in an efficient manner and determining which ones to prioritize. Your organizational skills will also be required as you ensure that you have sufficient supplies to handle routine maintenance tasks and can quickly get other supplies as needed to reduce downtime.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Must be knowledgeable of industrial computerized controls, PLC's, variable speed drives, level sensors, limit switches, pressure switches, proximity sensors, photo-electric sensors, and IEC style contractors and starters.
- Actively comply with and enforce all safety policies and procedures with direct reports and contractors. Take appropriate action to eliminate all unsafe acts or conditions.
- You will need a working knowledge of 3 Phase Industrial Power both 240 & 480 VAC, AC & DC Motor Control Circuits.
- You will need to be able to operate PLC's and electrical installation of conduits and panels.
- You'll maintain a professional and ethical relationships.
- You will need to be able to troubleshoot electrical power and control circuits.
- You'll develop a thorough knowledge of all production's operations and equipment.
- Keep records of all maintenance and repair work conducted, including a record of any supplies ordered and used.
- Ensure all routine maintenance work is handled on a regular schedule to reduce the risk of larger and more complex issues and to reduce costs.
Job Skills & Qualifications
- 3 years' experience in industrial maintenance working as an electrician (Preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast pace production environment a must
- Strong verbal and oral communication skills
