Cadrex is searching for a material handler to load, unload, and move materials within or near production facility or warehouse. Will be primarily responsible for maintaining adequate supply of materials at all running machines. This includes raw materials (resin), packaging, inserts, bags, labels, etc., as called out on the job Pick List . The correct paperwork associated with any movement of these materials is the responsibility of the material handler. Lot number control is an essential part of material tracking (especially regrind) and this falls under the material handler responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include cleaning and loading all hoppers as required at set up, ensuring excellent housekeeping to avoid contamination of materials, being aware of correct drying conditions for each material and setting machine dryers accordingly, monitoring clean and changing necessary filter at machine hopper, hopper loaders, and machine loaders (minimum once per day). The material handler must move finished goods to the warehouse or to a location designated by the warehouse and fill out accurately any paperwork required. All hoppers, gaylords, boxes, and other containers must be marked accurately with material identification and quantity along with date as necessary. Color concentrates, foaming agents, regrind, etc. must be mixed at the correct let down ratio to meet the job requirements. Other duties and assignments as directed by management are also required.
Preferred qualifications include a basic understanding of the injection molding process, at least 6 months of experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing setting, previous materials handling experience, strong numeracy and analytical skills, good problem-solving and time management skills, and working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Education is a high school diploma or GED. The position is onsite and the schedule is Monday to Friday.

The work environment includes exposure to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration, occasional exposure to the risk of electrical shock, moderate and occasionally loud noise levels. Physical demands include standing, sitting, using hands and fingers, handling or feeling, talking or hearing, sitting; climbing or balancing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
