LOADERSUMMARYLoads PVC resin into and from railway cars, trucks, or other vehicles by performing the following duties.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Communicates with production operators to maintain adequate silo inventories.Monitors silo levels, grade and quality.Positions vehicles by signaling Locomotive Engineer or Heavy Truck Driver to spot cars and set brakes.Positions spout or chute over or into car, truck, bin and opens slide in spout or chute to start flow of material into or from vehicles.Collects PVC samples.Inspects hopper cars and trucks for PVC loading.Washes PVC hopper cars.Records car and truck identifying information such as weight and volume of material loaded and number of cars filled.Operates locomotive for hopper car switching and spotting.QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
