#Gautier (O&M)H2O Innovation provides public works management services and operations assistance for water and wastewater treatment plants to municipalities, government organizations and businesses across North America. We are looking for a Drainage Laborer to join our team in Gautier, Mississippi. The candidate will play a key role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of drainage infrastructure including storm drains, culverts, ditches, and catch basins. This position involves outdoor, hands-on work with tools, machinery, and crews to ensure proper flow and function of stormwater systems.The day-to-day* Assist with the installation, repair, and cleaning of drainage pipes, culverts, and stormwater systems.* Excavate trenches and perform site grading using hand tools or small equipment.* Remove debris, sediment, and blockages from storm drains and ditches.* Operate tools such as shovels, rakes, compactors, and saws.* Support the use of excavation and utility locating equipment.* Maintain worksite safety and cleanliness.* Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively within a team.* Experience in drainage, construction, or utility work is a plus.The skills we are looking for* High school diploma/GED.* Valid driver's license.* Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in confined spaces or uneven terrain.* Willingness to follow all safety protocols and wear PPE.* Good oral and written communication skills.* Ability to communicate efficiently with the public, team members, and supervisors.* Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions.The benefitsOverall remuneration includes:* Salary of $15.00-$17.00 per hour.* Group insurance plan including dental, vision and telemedicine.* 401k plan.* 11 Statutory Holidays.* Vacations and wellness days.The successful candidate will have to pass a background check which includes criminal background & motor vehicle report checks, as well as drug & alcohol screenings.
