Job SummaryThe Laborer is responsible for supporting production operations by trimming, sorting, and processing PVC fittings in a safe and efficient manner. The role is structured in three progressive skill levels, with increasing responsibility and technical ability at each stage. All levels are expected to promote a safe work environment, maintain cleanliness standards, and follow standard operating procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Responsibilities for All Levels:

Promote and follow all safety practices and environmental compliance in accordance with company policies

Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times

Identify and report hazardous conditions or unsafe practices to supervisors

Complete required computer-based training and maintain compliance with company programs

Maintain clean and orderly workspaces in accordance with 5S and housekeeping standards

Monitor and report equipment conditions or malfunctions

Follow verbal and written instructions from supervisor or team leads

Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Ability to lift, stand, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions accurately

Basic understanding of workplace safety and PPE usage

Willingness to learn and grow into new responsibilities through cross-training

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

Familiarity with hand tools (e.g., scissors, cutters) and production equipment

Bilingual communication skills are a plus (not required)

Certifications (if any)

No formal certifications required. On-the-job training will be provided

Position Levels

Level 1 - PVC Trimmer Helper

Remove molded PVC fittings from the table saw and transfer to trimming area

Flip fittings on the table and trim with hand scissors to correct specifications

Convert fittings according to spec and identify defects

Sort finished goods and bundle according to charts

Assist with production reporting

Level 2 - Advanced Trimming Operator

Perform all Level 1 duties

Flip fittings online (TSL & Brown machines)

Knowledge of fitting storage locations

Use of end cap cutter

Level 3 - Senior Operator / Trainer

Perform all Level 1 & 2 duties

Train and instruct new or less experienced trimmers

Operate Safety Saw for trimming and cutting fittings

Qualified for full rotation on equipment

Cross-trained in 300 Room activities (e.g., gluing, trimming)
