This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced detailer and project manager who thrives in a fast-moving, highly specialized environment. If you have knowledge of AutoCAD, a background in miscellaneous metals, and the ability to run multiple projects from start to finish, this could be your next career move.
What You'll Do:
- Produce and review detailed shop drawings for stairs, railings, ladders, and other custom metalwork using AutoCAD (required).
- Manage projects from design through delivery and installation.
- Oversee material ordering, scheduling, change orders, and coordination between shop, field crews, and clients.
- Collaborate closely with experienced installers in the Miscellaneous Metals department.
- Maintain project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Serve as a mentor and leader for other detailers on the team.
Who You Are:
- 5+ years of experience in miscellaneous metals or structural steel detailing and project management.
- Proficient in AutoCAD (required); SDS2 or Tekla experience a plus.
- Skilled at balancing technical detail with big-picture project oversight.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a niche, fast-paced industry.
- Clear communicator who works well with shop teams, installers, and general contractors.
- Ready to take on a leadership role in a family-oriented, quality-driven environment.
