Directs the activities of the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs department. Ensures the quality and regulatory systems are effectively implemented and maintained. Essential Functions. Pre-market approval of new and modified medical devices in domestic and international markets. Post-market surveillance and medical device reporting in domestic and international markets. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Also directly supervises other non-supervisory employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
