General Maintenance Worker (Monday - Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm)

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned .. Maintain various buildings, grounds and/or parks, cleans, scrapes, paints, etc .. May spray grounds with insecticides and herbicides .. May install turf on field, parks and other grounds. Perform litter control functions .. Perform preventative maintenance functions on the vehicles .. Make daily written and oral reports .. May operate vehicles, mowers and other equipment; tree trimming tools, chain saw, clipper, and bucket truck .. Performs building and ground maintenance activities such as mowing, weeding and general grounds work. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Knowledge of landscape maintenance, or tree care and/or turf installation.
