Program Coordinator

Right At School offers before and after school extended day programs designed to spark a love for learning and enrich children's educational experiences. Our mission is to inspire learning, support schools, and provide families with peace of mind.

Program Coordinator Pay Rate: $20-$23 (commensurate with experience and education)

Note: This position will commence at the beginning of the 2025-2026 academic year, with qualified candidates beginning work in August 2025.

Program Hours: Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM (Hours may vary based on assigned location)

Your Role in Our Mission:

  • Promoting Safety & Joy: Embody role model qualities that uphold the highest standards of safety and joy. Guide and support a team of staff members in their roles, maintaining operational efficiency and program task completion.
  • Safety Assurance: Regularly report on safety protocols to ensure participant well-being and compliance with health regulations.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
  • Educational Requirement: Proof of High School diploma or GED is required.

Ideal Candidates Will Possess:

  • Experience managing competing priorities while delivering high-quality service.
  • A completed High School diploma or GED.
  • Background working with children, including knowledge of unique and special needs.
  • Coursework or training in child development or related fields.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with adults and children.
  • The ability to model professionalism in interactions with students, parents, and staff.
  • Familiarity with Google software or willingness to learn.

Virginia-Specific Requirements:

  • Ability to meet state-specific regulations.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Cleared tuberculosis test.
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Advanced degree in a child-related field (e.g., elementary education, nursing) with six months of program experience, or
  • A bachelor's degree in a child-related field with one year of programmatic experience, or
  • Forty-eight semester hours or 72 quarter hours of college courses, including 12 semester hours in child-related subjects, along with one year of program experience.
  • Two years of programmatic experience with one year in a supervisory role and relevant educational qualifications.
