Our client, a leader in the pharmaceutical industry, is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team. As a Packaging Engineer, you will be part of the Research and Development department supporting various product teams. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packaging Engineer

Location: Round Lake, IL (Onsite)

What's the Job?

  • Lead and contribute to the planning and execution of packaging projects for various types, including Quality/CAPA, Regulatory Compliance, and New Product Introductions.

  • Manage projects with moderate complexity and scope, effectively handling multiple projects with minimal supervision.

  • Develop testing protocols and engage in Change Control activities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Approve new packaging materials and systems, recommending techniques to improve existing products and processes.

  • Create packaging material specifications and procedural documents to support product and packaging configurations.

What's Needed?

  • B.S. in Packaging or a relevant Engineering degree (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Biomedical) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.

  • Experience or advanced training in packaging materials and processes, problem analysis, and resolution.

  • Proficiency in change control and development methodologies required for packaging projects.

  • Successful track record of managing packaging projects with a sense of urgency to meet milestones.

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and utilize creative problem-solving skills effectively.
