Job Description Market Range: 08 Hiring Salary: $21.69/Hourly THIS IS A GRANT-FUNDED POSITION JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Research Study Coordinator assists the Primary Investigators (PIs) with qualitative data collection across the Mid-South (western Tennessee, eastern Arkansas, and northern Mississippi) and study management for a large industry-sponsored research grant. This position conducts independent data collection, collaborative data analysis with PIs, study participant follow-up, communication with study key personnel, and participation in dissemination of study findings. Responsibilities
  • Conducts in-depth interviews while ensuring confidentiality and empathy.
  • Documents field observations accurately and manage audio/visual recordings from interviews or site visits.
  • Prepares detailed field notes and manage transcription of audio-recorded interviews while upholding ethical standards.
  • Analyzes complex qualitative data through coding and thematic analysis to identify themes relating to patient experiences, barriers to care, and cultural factors influencing health outcomes.
  • Tracks participants progress through study and ensures compliance with required timelines and study protocols.
  • Provides participants with compensation upon completion of data collection.
  • Disseminates findings through scholarly publications, reports, policy briefs, and presentations targeting both academic audiences and community stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to integrate qualitative findings with other research data.
  • Schedules follow-up appointments as necessary according to study protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Public Health, Women's Study, Anthropology, Sociology, or a related field. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of qualitative research or similar experience; OR Associate's Degree and three (3) years of qualitative research or similar experience, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience to equal five (5) years. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
    • Knowledge of research design, recruitment, data collection, and ethical considerations is essential.
    • Skill in gathering and organizing data.
    • Ability to follow study protocols, work independently, and take initiative in carrying out assigned tasks with attention to detail.
    WORK SCHEDULE: This position is frequently required to work evenings and weekends.
