Job Description
We are looking for a 2nd Shift Assembly Technician . This position will be full-time and onsite in Hampton, VA . The 2nd shift is Monday through Friday 2:15pm-12:45am. For the first 5 weeks, associates will train Monday-Friday, 6am-2:30pm.
This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee
What You'll Do
Follow standardized work instructions for the assembly of components in accordance with top/sub level drawings
Manufacturing of electronics/mechanical parts assembly
Read and comprehending manufacturing drawings and S.O.Ps./ OMS
Ensure high cleanliness standards are maintained during the shift and on the responsible areas
Demonstrate a mindset of continuous improvement in all duties
Follow all direction and safety protocols
Use hydraulic presses
Use small hand tools
What You'll Need
Required
Technology Manufacturing experience (electronic or mechanical, sensor component technology manufacturing) is required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Safety shoes required
Physical Demands
Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds
Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time
Must be able to operate machinery
Must be able to move between work zones
Must be proficient and able to understand written instructions in English language
Must have safety shoes
The pay range for this position is $23.10 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
