The Assistant Principal will serve as a member of the North High School leadership team under the direction of the Principal to foster and facilitate a culturally responsive and inclusive community that empowers all students to develop their unique potential and thrive as learners, citizens, and leaders in a diverse global community. Applicants must demonstrate an asset-based perspective, a track record of successful teaching, an orientation towards teamwork, and hold high expectations of students and colleagues. Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
Minimum of five years successful experience in education, including teaching, supervision and/or administration.
Graduate study beyond the Master's degree with emphasis on high school (9-12) curriculum, supervision, and/or administration.
A valid New York State Certificate as a School Administrator and Supervisor (SAS), School District Administrator (SDA), or School Building Leader (SBL).
Demonstrated ability to:
provide leadership and work effectively with staff members, colleagues, parents, and others in the educational community;
use creative problem solving and decision-making skills to
provide a positive learning environment resulting in continuous improvement for students and staff; and,
speak and write clearly and effectively.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate.
The successful candidate can expect the following responsibilities:
Supervises and evaluates professional and support staff assigned to the building
Assists in screening, interviewing and recommending candidates for professionals and support staff positions.
Carry out disciplinary procedures as established by the District and/or building.
Arrangements for Interviews
Team Leader/Liaison for Science, Music, Guidance and Mental Health Staff
Participates in and supports the implementation of all fire emergency drills and procedures.

Assumes responsibility for other tasks as assigned by the Principal.
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
SALARY: $94,500 - $123,000 Per Williamsville Administrators' Association contract & experience.
