Overview:

Assists the Regional Physical Security Manager in maintaining Bank-wide compliance to mandatory physical security federal Regulatory H requirements which establish Federal guidelines to maximize employee safety and asset protection and minimize high-risk situations.

Location: This position requires travel between branch and office locations with the territory, but has a home base location of Millsboro, Delaware.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate Bank-wide electronic access control and Bank Identification (ID) systems. Operate centralized access control and ID card system to ensure standardized method of restricting access into facilities by authorized personnel. Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual audit control standards established in coordination with Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) and Customer Privacy requirements. Conduct central alarm monitoring station operations, including alarm testing, general monitoring and reporting with contracted security officers.Serve in back-up/support capacity in traveling to regional branch offices and major high-rise buildings and conduct physical security and/or safety inspections on existing equipment used to protect employees and assets in accordance with Federal Regulation H and compliance to state laws. Serve in back-up/support capacity for preparation of Physical Security Inspection reports for each office or location inspected, recording physical security manufacturer information and reporting deficiencies found, steps taken to rectify the exceptions and appropriate annual capital budget planning. Work with physical security vendors to rectify noted exceptions.Serve in back-up/support capacity for conducting inspections with Regional Security Managers assisting with documentation.Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:

The position is significant to the Bank to provide assurance the Bank is in full compliance with Regulation H. This adds value to our stock as investors and Board of Directors can be sure the Bank is in compliance with standards set forth to protect its people, properties and assets. The position interacts with various Departments within the organization, multiple existing physical security vendors and in some situations, local, state or Federal agency representatives.

Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years' physical security field experience, or in lieu of requirement degree, a combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 2 years' physical security field experience

Familiarity with various Federal, state and local criminal laws

Prior experience with pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software

Demonstrated integrity and professionalism

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong customer service skills

Commitment to growing and enhancing skills through continual training and experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and/or Physical Security Professional ASIS certification

Physical security field experience or criminal justice, court and military experience

General working knowledge of standard Bank hardware and software

General operational understanding of financial institution asset protection devices

Physical Requirements:

Ability to climb stairs and ladders to check equipment in office and branch ceilings and basements

M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $60,890.34 - $101,483.90 Annual (USD). The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
