QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Possess valid NM driver's license, clear MVR check, successfully complete Salvation Army fleet training
General knowledge of building maintenance, janitorial cleaning and light landscaping
RESPONSIBILITIES:
(May be assigned to work multiple TSA properties)
Perform routine basic cleaning of all corps offices, restrooms, chapel, foyers, common areas and kitchen including but not limited to vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, window cleaning, garbage removal and power washing
Responsible for the cleaning and maintaining of the outside grounds and parking area including weeding, mowing, sweeping and trash pickup at Corps, and occasionally the Food Bank, Quarters and the Thrift Store.
Maintain the inventory of cleaning and other custodial supplies and notify supervisors when supplies are needed.
Maintain janitor's closet and maintenance room in an organized and effective manner
Attend staff meetings and required safety trainings when necessary
Set up and take down tables, chairs, etc. for special events, cleaning and various corps programming
Transport supplies between Food Bank and Corps to other locations as needed.
Light maintenance to include but not limited to: air filters, small repairs, changing lights, etc.
Assist with proper maintenance and care of Corps vehicles as needed.
Ensure proper care and maintenance of all janitorial/maintenance/landscaping equipment and supplies.
Other duties as deemed necessary by supervisor(s) for effective maintenance of Corps building(s).

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must have the ability to operate telephone, a desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
