Job Description:

GDIT has a career opportunity for a Network Administrator to join our Worldwide Field Support Contract at Tobyhanna Army Depot. Qualified candidates must be have a Secret clearance.

How you will make an impact:

  • Conduct Day to Day System Administration of vSphere and Horizon environments:

  • Create/Maintain AppStacks, Gold Master Baselines, and Desktop Pools

  • Troubleshoot any issue that arise in the Horizon environment

  • Maintain Dynamic Environment Manager (DEM) User Profile Management and OS settings

  • Track and respond to customer service requests within established response times

  • Conduct System Administration of Dell Wyse ThinOS Thin Client environment

  • Upgrade/Troubleshoot Clients

  • Provision Thin Clients and assign to appropriate groups for configuration

  • Assist with Services Enhancements as directed such as:

  • Deployment of additional thin clients

  • Tech Enhancements of VDI system including adding capabilities, software upgrades, thin client development and configuration, and feature upgrades

  • Provide daily, weekly, monthly reports on system utilization, availability, and performance

  • Support the testing and deployment of future upgrades and patches

  • Coordinate and document system and user testing

  • Manages various types of Local Area Network (LAN), Campus Area Network (CAN), and Wide Area Network (WAN) connectivity to include supporting the automated devices linked to the network. Manages the classified user expansion within these systems.

  • Incumbent manages the connection to external networks such as NIPRNET, SIPRNET, Defense Switched Network (DSN), Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN), Army Reserve Network (ARNET), Army National Guard Network (GUARDNET), Defense Research Engineering Network (DREN), Simulations Network (SIMNET), and Army intranets.

  • Manages cable infrastructure, premise equipment, and telephone service, (except customer required calling features and modernization programs) including touch labor.

  • Designs, installs, configures, operates, maintains, and repairs digital, voice over secure Internet protocol (VoSIP) telephone and Unified Communications (UC) service.

  • Maintains an electronic & hard copy Plant in Place (PIP) drawing library.

  • Operates and maintains common core (backbone infrastructure) voice/telephony network infrastructure equipment.

  • Identifies problems involving the connectivity to Deployable Networks and digital service range support which exists on or is connected to the Generating Force or installation common user networks infrastructure.

What you'll need to be successful:

  • BA/BS or equivalent, 2+ years of experience (will also consider other combinations of years of experience, education and certifications).

  • Must have secret clearance.

  • Security+ prior to start date.

The likely salary range for this position is $68,000 - $92,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
