Roles & Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist pet parents throughout their clinic visit, providing excellent customer service.
- Safely handle and restrain pets during wellness procedures such as vaccinations, nail trims, and microchipping.
- Prepare and administer vaccines, and label and dispense medications accurately.
- Collect and prepare blood and fecal samples for laboratory testing.
- Offer product and service recommendations tailored to pet lifestyle and health needs.
- Promote microchipping and educate pet parents about the importance of preventive care.
- Drive the company vehicle to various clinic locations, loading and unloading equipment and supplies.
- Collaborate with your team to achieve clinic goals efficiently and safely.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
- Assist in performing pet wellness procedures under the supervision of licensed veterinary professionals.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by disinfecting clinic areas and equipment.
- Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring product expiration dates are tracked.
- Operate clinic equipment and utilize digital tools such as tablets and Bluetooth devices.
- Ensure a safe, respectful, and organized clinic environment for pets, pet parents, and team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to drive a company vehicle to clinic locations.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Availability to work weekends and various weekday shifts, including occasional overnight travel.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work full clinic days (up to 12-14 hours).
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Professional appearance, punctuality, and strong interpersonal skills.
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service, retail, or animal care is a plus.
- Comfortable using tablets and Bluetooth-enabled devices.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Willingness to educate pet parents about clinic services and product offerings.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform essential job functions consistently and meet productivity standards.
- Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
- Comfortable occasionally working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and assist in the care and handling of animals.
