Position Overview:HumanEdge Health is seeking an experienced EP Monitoring Technologist for a travel assignment in Rochester, NY. This role provides critical support to electrophysiologists during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures. The technologist will coordinate care with multiple vendors, assist with equipment setup, and ensure smooth room turnover for timely patient care.
Responsibilities:
Assist electrophysiologists during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures.
Implement EP pacing monoverses and interpret necessary measurements.
Operate and assist with GE MacLab & CardioLab systems; familiarity with Bloom Stimulator preferred.
Set up and support mapping systems including Carto, Abbott, and Rhythmia during ablations.
Coordinate with MDs, charge nurses, and third-party vendors to ensure all equipment, supplies, and staff are available for scheduled procedures.
Facilitate room turnover and on-time starts to support efficient patient care.
Document procedures accurately in EPIC (experience preferred, not required).
Typical Procedures:
RF Ablations (Cryo ablations): A-Fib, A-Flutter, Atrial Tachycardia, AVNRT, WPW, other ANRT ablations
Device Implants: Pacemakers (single, dual, CSP, BiV), ICDs, SubQ ICD, Leadless PPM, Loop recorders, LAAC devices (Watchman, Amulet)
Mapping Systems: Biosense Webster Carto, Abbott Ensite/Precision, Rhythmia
Requirements:
Tech License: RCES or Radiologic Technologist License
Minimum 2 years of experience
Ability to function in a fast-paced lab environment and adapt to changes
Certifications Required:
BLS – American Heart Association ONLY
Preferred:
Cardiac implant or structural heart scrub experience
GE MacLab & CardioLab system experience
Bloom Stimulator experience
