TEKsystems is seeking a Systems / Network Engineer in Dahlgren, VA. Responsible for maintaining multiple computing environments by identifying network requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring network performance, and managing network configuration consistency. The Systems/Network Engineer will provide engineering, design, and implementation solutions for multiple network architectures.

*Responsibilities:*

Implement local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, & other data networks.

Experience with network routers and switch configuration. Environment includes Artysen, Cisco, Mellanox, and Asante switches.

Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and system performance.

Perform network modeling and analysis.

Define diagrams and designs for business technology initiatives.

Enforce policies for standardizing systems.

*Requirements*

• Three years of experience in networking, IT, or related fields preferred.
• Familiarity with researching communication networks.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Good documentation skills and ability to write clear, concise reports.
• Ability to work independently or in a team.

• BGP/IPV6 experience and solid 3-4 layer experience, Openstack experience (nice to have).

The pay range is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits, which may depend on job classification and employment length. Benefits may include:
