- Experience teaching elementary, grades K-6
- Willing to participate in Professional Development
- Experience with the implementation of the Common Core Standards, NYSE, ELA and Math Modules and instructional strategies
- Experience implementing Common core aligned units, lesson and assessments
- Effective classroom management skills, demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies and lessons
- Strong math and literacy background
- Character traits necessary to teach young children - enthusiasm, warmth and dedication
- Ability to differentiate instruction

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
