Food Technology Instructor

This position is a Food Technology/Hospitality Management Instructor responsible for providing career and technical training for male prisoners in a multi-level correctional facility to provide them with marketable job skills for employment upon release. The Food Technology and Hospitality Management class is located in the school which is inside the secure perimeter. ServSafe certification is preferred, please attach a copy.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Possession of an associate's degree in an area of the specific trade or occupation to be taught. Please ensure a copy of your official college transcript is attached.
  • Alternate Education and Experience: Possession of an appropriate bachelor's degree, master's degree, or vocational teacher certification may be substituted for the education and experience requirements. Please ensure a copy of your official college transcript or vocational teacher certification is attached.
  • OR Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of recent experience in the practice of the specific trade or occupation to be taught, including six months of experience training others in the trade or occupation may be substituted for the education and experience requirements.

  • Some jobs require state certifications for the occupation. All positions are assigned subclass codes. Individuals appointed to positions that are subclass coded must possess the required specialized experience, training, or license.
