Overview

The Night Auditor is responsible for reconciling all hotel cashier transactions, reviewing and compiling management reports promptly, and ensuring the accuracy of guest billings and city ledger transactions. The role involves communicating concerns to management and performing guest service duties such as check-in, check-out, switchboard operation, and reservations.

Responsibilities
  • Understand financial information and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Be willing to cross-train in other hotel-related areas.
  • Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Perform guest services (check-in/out, reservations, etc.).
  • Audit and reconcile financial and statistical reports.
  • Prepare and distribute daily and monthly reports.
  • Audit and reconcile Front Desk and Food & Beverage cashier work.
  • Handle credit card transactions timely.
  • Ensure accuracy of reported data and statistics.
  • Update financial information into the corporate network.
  • Perform data processing functions as required.
  • Inform management of operational or financial deviations.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Respond to governmental inquiries.
  • Handle guest requests.
  • Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent, with one year of hotel or related experience preferred.
  • Guest service experience is preferred.
  • Computer skills are required.
  • Willingness to work flexible and long hours.
  • Ability to lift up to 10 pounds occasionally.
  • Availability for late/overnight shifts.
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain personal appearance and grooming standards.
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations.
  • Show initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
