Summary:
Meta is seeking Machine Learning Engineers to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have industry experience working on a range of classification and optimization problems such as payment fraud, click-through rate prediction, click-fraud detection, search ranking, text/sentiment classification, collaborative filtering/recommendation, or spam detection. The position involves applying these skills to large-scale social data and prediction challenges on the web.

Drive the team's goals and technical direction to improve organizational efficiency.Effectively communicate complex features and systems.Assess and develop new technologies based on industry and company trends.Collaborate with organizational leaders to enhance team and organizational performance.Identify new opportunities and influence staffing and prioritization.Create effective feature roadmaps by collecting and synthesizing requirements.Develop scalable classifiers and tools using machine learning, data regression, and rules-based models.Adapt standard machine learning methods to modern parallel environments (e.g., distributed clusters, multicore SMP, GPU).Minimum Qualifications:
Experience leading projects with industry-wide impact.Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.Mentoring and influencing engineers across organizations.Proven ability to plan multi-year roadmaps aligning short-term projects with long-term vision.Experience driving large cross-functional engineering efforts.12+ years of programming experience in Python, C++, Java, or R.8+ years in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, NLP, data mining, or AI.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.Preferred Qualifications:
Experience shipping products to millions or launching new products.Experience with Hadoop, Pig, MapReduce, Sawzall, Bigtable, Hive, Spark.Expertise in machine learning, recommendation systems, pattern recognition, NLP, or AI.Compensation:
$213,000 to $293,000 annually + bonus, equity, and benefits.
