The Coordinator Central Service (Sterile Processing) provides support, training, and communication regarding the reprocessing of surgical instrumentation and trays in compliance with the Department of Health (DOH), DNV, OSHA, CDC, AAMI, & AORN and the MVHS policies. Coordinates and manages the day to day operations of SPD employees. Promotes a team based professional work environment. Core Job Responsibilities Oversees daily operations of all activities related to the processing of reusable instrumentation. Relays work instructions, distributes assignments and monitors work for quality and completeness. Promotes effective teamwork throughout the department and assists staff through upcoming and ongoing changes. Completes and approves schedules in a timely and efficient manner for assigned staff. Handles vacation requests and callouts. Ensures the timely delivery of sterilized instruments to appropriate departments and storage locations.
