Title: Operations Superintendent
Salary: 130k to 170k
Location: Woodward, OK (RELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE)
Shift: On-Site M-F On-Site 9/80 Shift - 26 three-day weekends per year
- Week 1: Employees work nine-hour days from Monday to Thursday and an eight-hour day on Friday.
- Week 2: Employees work nine-hour days from Monday to Thursday and get Friday off.
Travel: 5% (Domestic)
Must Haves:
- B.S. Engineering – Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ Years of Supervisory experience within an applicable field
- OSHA PSM (Process Safety Management) certification
Successfully complete pre-employment physical and drug screening
Pluses:
- Similar Industry Experience: (Chemical Manufacturing, Fertilization, Oil & Gas, Mining, Utility, Energy)
- Experience in chemical manufacturing processes
Job Summary
The Ammonia Operations Superintendent is responsible for ensuring that the production plan (budget) for the Ammonia Plant is met in a safe, efficient, timely, and cost effective manner each and every day. This position directs, develops, and manages the Production Department toward continued accomplishment of its objective of the safe, timely production, storage, and shipment of product in the correct quantity, quality, and cost. Safe operations, planning, coordinating, communicating, and controlling are major responsibilities of this position.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the safe and compliant operation of: ammonia, nitric acid, and UAN production units; argon recovery unit; product storage; and truck, rail, and barge loading
- Review EHS, production, and maintenance metrics daily to ensure safety and reliability concerns are promptly addressed and production is optimized
- Drive cross-departmental engagement to ensure plant needs are understood, prioritized, and addressed
- Develop operations personnel to meet near- and long-term team needs
- Lead incident investigations to identify root cause; implement appropriate corrective and preventative actions
- Support CapEx and operating budget processes through forecasting of plant needs and other expenditures
