Our Company, and its affiliates, provide insurance and insurance related services to clients, corporations, employers and individuals. These services include providing benefits through innovative life and health insurance plans, financial services, and customized insurance products for niche markets.

About the Role

Responsible for providing legal consultation, advisory or legal services for Our Company and its affiliates including specialized areas of insurance law, litigation, agreements, employment issues, and other various topics through assigned legal projects within the Legal Department under the direction of General Counsel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all aspects of legal services in assigned areas of legal specialization and responsible for developing and representing the organizations legal positions in such areas.
  • Assists in the preparation as well as review of agreements with administrators, vendors, or other entities.
  • Provides legal counsel on a broad range of legal topics, including insurance, ERISA, probate, securities, tax, bankruptcy, trademark, etc.
  • Conducts legal research and investigation on insurance claim matters.
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor; Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science.
  • Insurance experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong contract review/drafting experience.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, oral presentation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Insurance experience preferred but not mandatory.

Pay range and compensation package

Salary Range: $95,000 – $115,000 (No bonus)

Work Physical Requirements FLSA Status: Exempt. Work generally performed in an office environment. Incumbent must have the ability to stand/sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
