The ideal candidate will lead the interconnection process for renewable energy projects—from application through commissioning—ensuring compliance with utility, ISO/RTO, and regulatory requirements. This role requires deep technical knowledge of grid integration, excellent stakeholder management skills, and the ability to coordinate across engineering, permitting, and project development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and submit interconnection applications to utilities and ISOs/RTOs, ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and interpret interconnection studies, including feasibility, system impact, and facility studies, providing actionable feedback to the engineering team.
  • Coordinate with utilities, transmission operators, and regulatory agencies to resolve interconnection issues and negotiate agreements.
  • Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful grid integration.
  • Support electrical design teams in aligning project configurations with interconnection requirements.

  • Familiarity with interconnection regulations, including FERC, NERC, and state-specific requirements.
