Operations and Maintenance Coordinator

US Solar is hiring an O&M Coordinator who will assist in the maintenance and management of US Solar's ever-growing fleet of Solar and Energy Storage assets. This position reports to the Technical Asset Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure US Solar's portfolios are performing at or above forecasted production; review and retain weekly and monthly performance reports
  • Monitor Data Acquisition System (DAS) to flag active alarms, downtime, and underperformance
  • Communicate priorities to contractors based on restoration of lost production and efficiency of travel.
  • Review work reports to ensure that work is performed completely and efficiently; track and assist in closing out open work orders
  • Review and approve invoices received by comparing to budgets, work reports, and contracts
  • Coordinate with O&M Contractors to manage spare parts inventories; monitor maximum and minimum quantities, order replacement parts, and process RMAs
  • Preparing monthly and annual contractor reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage warranty claims; hold OEMs responsible to their warranty terms and assure prompt delivery of any replacements
  • Manage onboarding of new sites through contract preparation, setting up files and records in shared libraries, and attending meetings to review project specifics
  • Prepare budgets and forecasts for new projects and markets by reviewing historical cost data, meeting with prospective contractors, and running Requests for Proposal (RFPs)
  • Work closely with construction teams through commissioning activities to ensure sites are optimally performing and record keeping is complete

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Associates degree in Construction Management, or Engineering field
  • Experience in a similar role or utilizing similar core proficiencies
  • Solar PV and Energy Storage experience preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical skills with knowledge of project management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Position will require some travel (up to 25%)
