Overview
Our “Client” is seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Program Director to oversee and enhance our technology infrastructure. As a vital member of our team, you will manage the Client's IT operations, ensuring the security, efficiency, and scalability of all IT systems and services. The IT Program Director will lead a team of professionals, drive strategic technology initiatives, and ensure the Client's IT needs are met in alignment with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development
- Supervise, train, and develop IT staff, providing guidance on best practices and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to set goals, address issues, and track progress.
- Evaluate employee performance and recommend career development opportunities.
Infrastructure Management
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT systems, networks, and hardware to ensure optimal performance.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems in a timely manner.
- Ensure all IT equipment is updated and meets the Client's operational requirements.
Network Security and Data Protection
- Manage and maintain network security, including firewalls, encryption protocols, and antivirus solutions.
- Ensure the Client's data is securely stored and backed up in compliance with industry standards.
- Respond to security breaches, conduct risk assessments, and implement corrective actions.
Strategic IT Planning
- Develop IT strategies aligned with the Client's goals and objectives.
- Plan and implement technology initiatives that enhance productivity, efficiency, and user experience.
- Continuously assess emerging technologies for potential implementation.
Vendor and Contract Management
- Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors, negotiating terms and service agreements.
- Manage the procurement process for hardware, software, and IT services, ensuring the Client's needs are met.
- Review and renew IT contracts as needed to ensure they align with budgetary and operational goals.
- Ability to manage budgets and oversee resources effectively.
Technical Support and Troubleshooting
- Oversee IT help desk operations, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues and inquiries.
- Provide support for IT-related issues, including hardware malfunctions, software errors, and network disruptions.
- Maintain detailed documentation of IT processes, systems, and troubleshooting procedures.
Compliance and Reporting
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and security standards.
- Provide regular IT performance reports and project updates to senior management.
Qualification
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years in IT management or a related role.
- Proven experience in team leadership and managing complex IT projects.
Skills
- Expertise in IT infrastructure, network management, and systems administration.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem solving abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and oversee resources effectively.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and IT compliance regulations.
- Organized and able to manage time effectively.
Certifications
- Relevant IT certifications such as ITIL, PMP, or others preferred.
Additional Requirement
- Valid Nevada Driver's License and insurable under the Client's automobile insurance policy.
- Availability for on-call work after hours, weekends, and holidays in the event of emergencies.
- Adherence to the Client's policies and standards.
