Position Summary

The Logistics Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily distribution center operations to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of products to customers. This role involves managing warehouse staff, coordinating transportation, and implementing process improvements to maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Oversee transportation logistics to ensure timely deliveries and cost-effective routing.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, DOT, and company policies.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and work with purchasing and sales teams to address shortages or delays.
  • Develop and track KPIs for warehouse productivity, order accuracy, and delivery performance.
  • Train, mentor, and manage logistics and warehouse staff to promote efficiency and teamwork.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and improve service levels.
  • Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and adjust logistics plans accordingly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (preferred) or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or warehouse management, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and best practices in distribution and inventory control.
