Job Overview – Multifamily Construction Project Manager:

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000/year + bonus

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Manage ground-up wood-frame multifamily projects as a Project Manager with our client in Philadelphia, PA. This on-site role covers the full project lifecycle from preconstruction to closeout, including scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and inspections. Ideal for candidates with multifamily experience who can run projects independently while working closely with field teams, architects, and ownership.

Responsibilities as the Multifamily Construction Project Manager:

  • Project Execution: Oversee all phases of wood-frame multifamily construction from start to closeout.
  • Field & Office Coordination: Split time between job sites and office to manage day-to-day operations, safety, and compliance.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Develop project schedules, track milestones, manage budgets, and monitor cost forecasts.
  • Subcontractor Management: Coordinate trades, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure quality, safety, and timelines are met.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide updates and serve as the point of contact between ownership, consultants, and field teams.

Qualifications for the Multifamily Construction Project Manager:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5-10 years managing multifamily or wood-frame projects, ideally from preconstruction through certificate of occupancy.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of local building codes, permitting processes, and multifamily construction methods.
  • Skills & Attributes: Confident and polished leader with the ability to manage projects independently, resolve challenges onsite, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
