Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Solar Panel Installer or Crew Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing solar panel systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safe and efficient installations. This role requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and the ability to work in outdoor conditions.

Responsibilities:

  • Install roof-mounted, ground-mounted, and Sun Tracker Pole solar systems
  • Assemble and install racking systems and rapid shutdown modules
  • Install solar panels, conduit, and wiring up to the array junction box
  • Create a serial number map of PV modules, microinverters, and rapid shutdown devices
  • Take NYSERDA-required photos throughout the installation process
  • Conduct line voltage testing and verify torque specifications on bolts

What You Will NOT Be Doing:

  • System design or permitting
  • Creating the BOS list
  • Installing AC breakers, supply-side connections, AC disconnects, or AC combiner panels
  • Performing overall system commissioning

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-3 years experience in solar installation required
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions
  • Ability to read and follow technical instructions and installation manuals
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
